On September 24, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Thai Nguyen province held a summary of the homestay program (sending international students to local homes) for the school year 2023-2024. The Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Thai Nguyen Province implemented the program in coordination with universities and colleges in the area since 2016. During the 2023-2024 school year, the Association coordinated with relevant parties to organize tours for Lao students to visit historical and cultural sites in the province. The program has contributed to helping Lao students improve their Vietnamese language and quickly integrate into the cultural and social life in Vietnam.
Regarding attracting domestic non-budget investment, in the past 8 months, Thai Nguyen province has issued investment policy decisions and approved investors for 10 projects with a total capital of nearly 1,259 billion VND; issued decisions approving investors for 19 projects with a total capital of over 13,400 billion VND; issued investment registration certificates for 09 projects with a capital of nearly 4,990 billion VND and adjusted to increase capital for 03 projects with a capital of over 1 trillion VND. Accumulated to date, the total number of non-budget projects using domestic investment capital that are still in effect is 908 projects with a registered capital of over 196,200 billion VND.

Trong chuyến thăm và làm việc tại tỉnh Thái Nguyên ngày 10/1/2023, đồng chí Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng và Đoàn công tác của Trung ương đã tới thăm vùng chè Tân Cương. Đồng thời đồng chí đã dành những lời khen cho vùng đất được mệnh danh "Đệ nhất danh trà".
Ông Nguyễn Đình Tính, thôn Tràng Dương, xã Vạn Thọ, huyện Đại Từ, Thái Nguyên. Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng đã từng ở nhà ông Tính từ năm 1965 - 1967, khi sơ tán chống Mỹ. Ông Tính kém Tổng Bí thư một giáp và được bác Trọng coi như người em trong nhà. Những năm sơ tán, ở Đại Từ bác Trọng ngoài học tập cũng rất quan tâm tới thực tiễn cuộc sống địa phương và việc học tập của các em trong nhà.
