Recently, the launching ceremony and opening of the Olympic Running Day for Public Health and the Tien Phong Running Tournament were held at Vo Nguyen Giap Square (Thai Nguyen City).

On March 23rd, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union launched the Day for Joining Hands to Build New Rural Areas and the first National Green Sunday 2025 with many meaningful activities such as: Inaugurating the road with lighting system to support the construction of new rural area; Awarding the Youth Green Tree Project and planting trees at the Dong Hy High School campus and Song Cau town.

In the first two months of the year, the province issued new business registrations for 102 enterprises, with total registered capital of nearly 950 billion VND. Additionally, 60 businesses resumed operations, bringing the total number of enterprises in the province to over 11,000, with registered capital exceeding 155.8 trillion VND.

Recently, the Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen Province, in collaboration with the Vietnam National University of Agriculture, organized a workshop on the theme "The journey of entrepreneurship from high school" at Phu Binh High School in Phu Binh District.

In February 2024, the Management Board of Industrial Parks in Thai Nguyen province issued adjustments to 10 Investment Registration Certificates; including 6 projects adjusting to increase total investment capital with a total increase of over 90 million US dollars, and 4 adjustments to investor information, objectives, capital contribution schedule, and project implementation progress.

The Small and Medium Enterprise Association of Thai Nguyen province has nearly 800 member enterprises, with a total registered capital of nearly 69,000 billion VND. Small and medium enterprises are contributing over 16% to the province's total budget revenue; creating jobs for nearly 22,000 workers, with incomes from 8-15 million VND/person/month.

On March 14, Nguyen Huy Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, held a working session with a delegation of experts led by Park Hyun Bae, General Director of KCTC Vietnam Co., Ltd., to discuss a proposal for developing a data center in Thai Nguyen.

On March 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the Facolos Pickleball Cup. The event attracted nearly 100 athletes from 16 teams, competing in six categories. The event is organized to promote sports and physical activities, strengthen solidarity, and foster exchanges among officials and civil servants in the province.

Responding to the Prime Minister's call "The whole country joins hands to eradicate temporary and dilapidated houses" Thai Nguyen province is drastically implementing solutions to realize the dream of "settling down" for thousands of people. Implementing that policy, with the highest determination, Phu Binh district has accelerated the progress of supporting the eradication of temporary and dilapidated houses for difficult people.

On March 10th, the construction and infrastructure business project for Song Cong II Industrial Park - Phase 2 was officially commenced. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh, representatives of several ministries, departments, central agencies, and many domestic and foreign corporations and businesses attended the ceremony. Leaders of Thai Nguyen province included Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Pham Hoang Son, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Thai Nguyen province has actively participated in multiple activities within the framework of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, with the theme "Youth and Traditional Culture." A highlight was the reenactment of an excerpt from the peace-seeking ritual of the Tày and Nùng ethnic groups. Additionally, programs such as the "Spring day resonates with Then melodies" exchange event, exhibitions showcasing Thai Nguyen’s distinctive cultural products, and the tea culture space were organized. These activities contributed to promoting and introducing the tourism, culture, history and people of Thái Nguyên to both domestic and international visitors.

Along with industrial parks, industrial clusters that have been established and are currently in operation play a vital role in economic restructuring, industrial growth, and job creation for both local and external workers in Thái Nguyên province. With the spirit of "accompanying and supporting" investors, provincial authorities and relevant departments are currently implementing synchronized solutions to address difficulties and bottlenecks in the development of industrial cluster infrastructure.

The project to construct Quang Vinh 1 Bridge, Quang Vinh 2 Bridge, and the connecting road system for Dong Bam and Quang Vinh wards and Cao Ngan commune (Thai Nguyen City) has a total investment of over 1,500 billion VND. Currently, the project is being actively implemented as it is expected to contribute to changing the urban appearance of the city in the near future.
