In 2024, from the local budget and irrigation fee compensation sources, Pho Yen City invested over 10 billion VND to renovate, upgrade and repair lakes, dams, pumping stations and canals in the area.

Based on reviewing and assessing the current status of irrigation works, the City People's Committee has invested funds to repair Tham Thinh pumping station, Van Phai commune, with a total investment of over 3.5 billion VND; repair the main canal (length of over 1km) leading water from the western canal of Coc lake to Dam residential group, Dac Son ward, with a total investment of over 3.3 billion VND; repair Van Thuong 1 and Van Thuong 2 pumping stations, Hong Tien ward, with a total investment of over 1.8 billion VND; repair and dredging of Dinh lake, Van Phai Commune, with a total investment of over 2 billion VND...

Along with upgrading and renovating irrigation works, the City People's Committee also directed specialized agencies to regularly monitor and update water levels at lakes, dams, and pumping stations to develop plans for economical and alternating irrigation.
