Thai Nguyen: Many agricultural production targets exceed plans

In 2024, agricultural production in the area faced many difficulties due to the impact of Typhoon No. 3. However, under the decisive leadership of the province, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the agricultural sector, assigned tasks were still completed well. Accordingly, many results have been achieved and exceeded the plan, such as: The value of livestock production reached 7,710 billion VND, exceeding the plan by 7.7%; the value of products obtained per hectare of cultivated land is estimated at 131 million VND, an increase of nearly 3 million VND compared to the previous year; the total output of all kinds of livestock meat is estimated at over 236,000 tons, exceeding the plan by nearly 6.1%; the aquaculture area reached 6,100 hectares, with an output of 19,000 tons... With the achieved results, in 2025, the Agriculture and Fisheries sector strives for a growth rate in crop production value of 1%; the value of harvested products per hectare of cultivated land to reach 135 million VND; food production to reach 437,400 tons; livestock production value to reach 7,750 billion VND; and to continue effectively implementing VietGAP certification support for tea, fruit trees, and chicken and pig farming.
