Vạn Thọ là mảnh đất rất đặc biệt khi Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng có 2 năm ở và học tập thời là sinh viên Trường Đại học Tổng hợp Hà Nội. Mặc dù thời gian gắn bó không dài nhưng hình ảnh về một vị Tổng bí thư giản dị, gần gũi vẫn còn đọng mãi trong lòng người dân nơi đây. Để bày tỏ lòng tiếc thương vô hạn trước sự ra đi của Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng, người đã hiến dâng trọn cả cuộc đời phụng sự Tổ quốc, phục vụ nhân dân. Ủy ban nhân dân xã Vạn Thọ đã tổ chức lễ tưởng niệm và lập ban thờ di ảnh Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng tại nhà văn hóa xã Vạn Thọ để nhân dân trong xã đến thắp hương, tưởng niệm trong 2 ngày Quốc tang.

Trong chuyến thăm và làm việc tại tỉnh Thái Nguyên ngày 10/1/2023, đồng chí Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng và Đoàn công tác của Trung ương đã tới thăm vùng chè Tân Cương. Đồng thời đồng chí đã dành những lời khen cho vùng đất được mệnh danh "Đệ nhất danh trà".

Ông Nguyễn Đình Tính, thôn Tràng Dương, xã Vạn Thọ, huyện Đại Từ, Thái Nguyên. Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng đã từng ở nhà ông Tính từ năm 1965 - 1967, khi sơ tán chống Mỹ. Ông Tính kém Tổng Bí thư một giáp và được bác Trọng coi như người em trong nhà. Những năm sơ tán, ở Đại Từ bác Trọng ngoài học tập cũng rất quan tâm tới thực tiễn cuộc sống địa phương và việc học tập của các em trong nhà.

Born and grew up in Tan Cuong (Thai Nguyen City), attached to the tea tree since childhood, Mr. Le Son Hai (born in 1992) has always wondered how to preserve and develop the tea specialty of the homeland. After having graduated from the major in journalism at a university in Hanoi, he decided to leave the capital to return to his hometown in order to start a business on one-hectare tea hill of his family. The program has many attractive activities with the parade of nearly 60 creative artistic light models from agencies, units, businesses, schools and wards and communes in the area.
