Trade and services maintain growth momentum

For the first 11 months of 2024, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are estimated at 71.9 trillion VND, an increase of 17.2% compared to the same period last year. Broken down by industry, retail sales of goods are estimated at 51.3 trillion VND, up 17% over the same period; revenue from accommodation, food and beverage services, and tourism is estimated at 12.5 trillion VND, up 19.5% over the same period; and revenue from other services is estimated at 8.1 trillion VND, up 15% over the same period. According to calculations by specialized agencies, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the province in 2024 are estimated at 78.86 trillion VND, an increase of 17.4% compared to the same period, equaling 104.5% of the plan. This is an encouraging figure in the context of complicated global developments, with several northern provinces as well as localities in the province striving to recover production and stabilize the supply and demand of goods after Typhoon No. 3.
