The Festival of agricultural products, OCOP, craft villages connecting tourism - Thai Nguyen 2024 will be held in December at Van Xuan Square, Pho Yen City. The program aims to promote agricultural economic development, build new rural areas, preserve the space of traditional farming villages and products of natural origin, and create momentum to restructure agriculture sustainably.

Trong chuyến thăm và làm việc tại tỉnh Thái Nguyên ngày 10/1/2023, đồng chí Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng và Đoàn công tác của Trung ương đã tới thăm vùng chè Tân Cương. Đồng thời đồng chí đã dành những lời khen cho vùng đất được mệnh danh "Đệ nhất danh trà".
Ông Nguyễn Đình Tính, thôn Tràng Dương, xã Vạn Thọ, huyện Đại Từ, Thái Nguyên. Tổng Bí thư Nguyễn Phú Trọng đã từng ở nhà ông Tính từ năm 1965 - 1967, khi sơ tán chống Mỹ. Ông Tính kém Tổng Bí thư một giáp và được bác Trọng coi như người em trong nhà. Những năm sơ tán, ở Đại Từ bác Trọng ngoài học tập cũng rất quan tâm tới thực tiễn cuộc sống địa phương và việc học tập của các em trong nhà.
