At the conference, a representative of the SBV announced the decision to establish and inaugurate the Region 5 branch, which will serve as the central coordinating body for banking operations in six provinces: Thai Nguyen, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Giang, and Bac Ninh. Mr. Le Quang Huy, Deputy Chief of the SBV’s Inspection and Supervision Agency, has been appointed as Director of the SBV – Region 5.

After restructuring, SBV – Region 5 consists of 219 staff members across 7 specialized departments responsible for areas such as inspection and supervision, monetary and treasury operations, accounting and payments, and administrative and human resources management. The region currently has 36 credit institutions, 136 first-tier branches, 449 transaction offices, along with a network of people's credit funds and microfinance institutions.
