FFS-IPHM method helps increase economic efficiency on tea trees
On July 26, the Division of Crop Production and Plant Protection (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development) organized a summary of the training course of Farmer Field School on Integrated Plant Health Management (FFS-IPHM) on tea trees in Hoa Khe 1 hamlet, Van Han commune (Dong Hy).
30 trainees who are tea producers in Hoa Khe 1 hamlet participated in the training course were informed about the following contents: Overview of IPHM; soil and water management; sustainable pest management; beneficial organism management; how to use fertilizers and pesticides... Along with the theory, the trainees also practiced the FFS-IPHM method together on a 500m2 tea plot. After more than 3 months of practicing the FFS-IPHM method, it showed that: Fertilizer costs are lower than traditional production.
At the end of the course, students will continue to implement the production process according to the FFS-IPHM method on their family's tea area.
