After more than 30 years since the breakup, in 2005, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the Literature Department students of course VIII returned to visit the old evacuation site. As the person who directly met and welcomed the General Secretary to visit the locality, Mr. Le Hung Manh, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Van Tho commune, still remembers the image of a simple and emotional leader.
Mr. Le Hung Manh, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Van Tho commune, Dai Tu, Thai Nguyen sadly shared: "In contact with Uncle Trong, I found him very simple, close and intimate with the people and officials of Van Tho commune. He said officials must take care of people's lives, pay attention to policy families and strive for economic development."
For the people of Van Tho commune, the advice of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during his visit has become the direction for the homeland to develop day by day.
Mr. Tran Van Trong, Chairman of Van Tho commune, Dai Tu, Thai Nguyen said: " Van Tho is not a rich commune and does not have favorable conditions, but we are trying to develop economy".
In recent years, the Party Committee, government and people of Dai Tu district have always promoted the spirit of solidarity and determination to successfully implement the goals set by Party Congresses at all levels in each term. Up to now, the district has achieved 6/9 criteria, 34/38 targets for enhance new rural districts for the period 2021-2025.
