From October 16, 2023: Increase some fees in the medical field

The Ministry of Finance has issued Circular No. 59/2023/TT-BTC regulating collection rates, collection, payment, management and use of fees in the health sector. Accordingly, from October 16, 2023, some fee levels in the medical field will be adjusted to increase.

Specifically as follows: Fee for appraisal and issuance of new circulation numbers for type C and D equipment: increased from 5 million VND to 6 million VND/file.

The fee for assessment, reissuance, and adjustment of medical examination and treatment practice certificates for people whose medical examination and treatment practice certificates are revoked according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 29 of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment: increased from 360,000 VND/time to 430,000 VND/time…

Circular No. 59/2023/TT-BTC stipulates that fee collection organizations are allowed to retain 80% of the collected fee amount to cover costs for expenditures as prescribed in Article 5 of Decree No. 120/2016/ND of the Government which stipulates details and guides the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on fees and charges. Pay 20% of collected fees to the state budget according to current regulations.

Fee collection organizations pay the entire fee amount collected into the state budget. The source of costs to cover the implementation of work and collect fees is arranged by the state budget in the estimates of the collecting organization according to the state budget spending regime and norms. Circular No. 59/2023/TT-BTC takes effect from October 16, 2023./.
