According to the plan, in 2024, Thai Nguyen City strives to have 5/11 communes meet advanced new rural standards (including Linh Son, Cao Ngan, Phuc Ha, Son Cam, Huong Thuong) and 4/11 communes meet model new rural standards (including Dong Lien, Phuc Triu, Phuc Xuan, Thinh Duc). Currently, the city has two communes (Quyet Thang and Tan Cuong) achieving model rural areas. At the Conference, representatives of localities reported progress in implementing the criteria as well as problems and difficulties that need to be resolved, such as funding for construction of markets and schools; guiding the process of completing OCOP product recognition dossiers... Based on these opinions, the City’s leaders requested relevant departments, divisions, and units to coordinate closely with localities to complete unmet criteria. With dossiers of recognition of products meeting OCOP standards, communes need to soon deploy and complete them for the city to verify before submitting them to the province for appraisal.
