From the beginning of the year to the end of May 2024, the total retail sales of goods and revenue of social consumer services in the City reached VND 22,500 billion, up 15.3% over the same period last year. The outstanding result in the city's trade and service sector recently is attracting many units and businesses to invest in the area. Up to now, the entire city has nearly 2,700 operating businesses; 7 commercial centers, more than 20 general supermarkets (about 25% increase in the number of businesses, shopping centers, supermarkets compared to 2020)..., with rich and diverse types of goods. For service, the city has also attracted investment in over 3,100 accommodation and dining establishments (including over 20 hotels ranked at 2 - 4 stars; over 40 transportation businesses), meeting the needs of trade, production and serving people's lives.
