Talking about the reason for establishing the cooperative, Mr. Loc said: “Through many visits organized by the commune and district Youth Union to learn about economic models owned by union members and young people, I understand the spirit of solidarity “if you want to go far, you have to go together” and not be afraid of difficulties, hardships, and dare to think and dare to do. With the advice and support of the Youth Union and the locality, I boldly brought the cooperative's tea products to participate in the OCOP assessment.” Deputy Secretary of the District Youth Union, President of the Dong Hy District Youth Union Pham Thuy Trang informed: “The youth movement to participate in socio-economic development, compete to get rich and establish a career is one of the activities that the district's youth unions pay special attention to. Every year, the Dong Hy District Youth Union organizes at least 1 activity to equip young people with entrepreneurial knowledge; 15/15 commune and town unions have implemented youth start-up programs and maintained at least one effective youth start-up model...”
Along with that is supporting the youth to access loan programs from entrusted loan capital at the Social Policy Bank. Currently, the total outstanding loan capital managed by Dong Hy District Union is over 118 billion VND with 2,590 borrowing households and 54 savings and loan groups, thereby helping union members and youth have more funds to invest in developing their family economy and stabilizing their lives. Currently, the district has 20 youth start-up models in their hometowns with an income of hundreds of millions of VND/year, creating jobs and stable income for many local workers.
