In Thai Nguyen, the unemployment insurance policy not only supports unemployed workers but also helps businesses reduce the cost of retraining personnel when workers return to the labor market. Thanks to this, unemployment insurance plays an important role in maintaining local socio-economic stability.

As the unit directly implements unemployment insurance programs and policies in the area, one of the important tasks directly carried out by the Employment Service Center is receiving unemployment insurance benefit application dossiers, identifying beneficiaries of unemployment benefits, providing career counseling, and introducing suitable jobs to workers. At the same time, the Center also implements many vocational training support programs for unemployed workers, helping them quickly reintegrate into the labor market.

According to statistics, in 2023, the Center consulted and supported nearly 12,000 workers registering for UI benefits, with the rate of workers finding jobs reaching 65%. The number of workers receiving counseling on labor policies, laws on labor, employment, and UI, career orientation, and job counseling was nearly 31,000 cases; the number of workers introduced to jobs was over 4,800 cases; the number of workers successfully connected with jobs was over 1,450 cases. This is an encouraging result, showing the effectiveness of support policies for workers in the province.

Ms. Hoang Thi Huong in Phu Xuyen commune, Dai Tu district, used to be a worker in an industrial zone in Bac Giang. Returning to her family when the business did not have enough work for workers, she received UI benefits according to regulations. Ms. Huong happily shared, "I feel that the program organized by the provincial Employment Service Center in collaboration with Dai Tu district is truly meaningful because it has helped unemployed workers like us have the opportunity to find better jobs, creating conditions for us to develop further."

Ms. Do Thi Hao in Phu Xa ward, Thai Nguyen city, after receiving unemployment benefits and participating in the online job transaction floor at the Thai Nguyen provincial Employment Service Center, found a new job.

Besides processing procedures for workers to receive unemployment benefits, organizing career counseling programs, and introducing new job opportunities suitable to the capacity, interests, and needs of workers, the provincial Employment Service Center also coordinates with training institutions to provide short-term vocational courses, helping workers improve their skills to meet the requirements of the labor market.

It can be seen that the implementation of administrative procedures regarding UI has been carried out by the Thai Nguyen Provincial Employment Service Center following regulations, meeting the assigned tasks and the needs of businesses and workers.
