Núi Pháo contributes to reviving the cultural values of Cao Lan Ethnic Group
The club consists of 26 members, led by Ms. Nguyễn Thị Vinh from Suối Cát Hamlet, Hà Thượng Commune. Ms. Vinh said: Cao Lan is one of the ethnic minorities with a rich and unique culture, with intangible values such as Sình ca singing and Tắc xình dancing - unique heritages closely tied to the community’s spiritual life.
The establishment of the Cao Lan Ethnic Culture and Arts Club will serve as a bridge between the past and the future, between traditional values and modern life. The club is not only a place to preserve and practice culture but also a place for people to exchange and connect. It is also a place for the younger generation to learn and understand more deeply about their ethnic identity. “Sình ca” songs will resonate again, and Tắc xình dances will continue to enliven festivals.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Tâm, Head of the Cao Lan Club in Phú Thịnh Commune, said: On the occasion of the launch of the Cao Lan Ethnic Culture and Arts Club in Hà Thượng Commune, we participated in performing the Tắc Xình dance. The dance recreates the beauty in the cultural life and the beauty in the labor of the Cao Lan people; the movements, although simple, still have their unique characteristics, without being mixed or diluted.
In life, there are many things that quantitative figures cannot measure, but looking at them, everyone can feel the great value, affection, and dedication of both the giver and the receiver. Mrs. Chu Thị Hoa, Head of Suối Cát Hamlet, Hà Thượng Commune, emotionally shared: Hamlet 6 has nearly 180 households, of which the Cao Lan ethnic group accounts for nearly 60%. Having a space to display culture, and then establishing a Culture and Arts Club, I don't know what to say other than thank you to the Board of Directors of Núi Pháo Mining Company, the local Party Committee, and the local government for providing both moral and material support, contributing to preserving the cultural values of the Cao Lan people, ensuring they live on through time.
Life is becoming increasingly civilized and modern. In the vortex of movement and development, many traditional cultural values are at risk of being lost and forgotten. But "Culture is the soul of the nation; if culture survives, the nation survives" - the words of the late General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng are a reminder to us that, at any cost, we must preserve the cultural identity of our nation.
