Efforts to cover 5G in Thai Nguyen
Viettel has quickly deployed infrastructure to officially provide 5G services in 63 provinces and cities

After more than 2 years of testing 5G in Thai Nguyen as well as 60 provinces and cities nationwide, in mid-April, Viettel was one of two network operators licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications to establish a network and provide terrestrial mobile information services using 5G technology nationwide. With this license, Viettel has quickly deployed infrastructure to officially provide 5G services in 63 provinces and cities. In Thai Nguyen alone, Viettel is installing 100 BTS transmission stations using 5G technology, concentrated in the central area of Thai Nguyen City and some key industrial parks such as Yen Binh, Diem Thuy, Song Cong...

Along with infrastructure construction, Viettel will introduce smart solutions in industry, with virtual reality/augmented reality applications; smart management, cloud computing, and chain management. Viettel also has its own 5G network models with the cost of connecting infrastructure for smart factories that can save up to 22% compared to private network solutions on traditional wifi. This helps businesses reduce costs of consumables, installation labor, and employee training.
