The Farmers' Association of Dai Tu district has over 30,200 members. Identifying that helping members develop the economy is a key task, the association at all levels has focused on implementing well the work of propaganda, mobilization and orientation of members to develop crops and livestock; proactively organized training on cultivation and livestock techniques, applying scientific and technical advances in agricultural production; creating conditions for members to visit and study economic development models inside and outside the area; supporting members to borrow preferential loans to invest and expand production...
The family of Mr. Duong Van Thanh in Trai 4 hamlet, Binh Thuan commune, is one of the typical households with good economic development in Dai Tu. Mr. Thanh shared: “Since 2020, with the help and support of the Commune and the District Farmers' Association, I have borrowed 200 million VND from the Dai Tu Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. Along with the available guava area, my family rented more than 4,000m2, bought 650 Taiwanese pear guava seedlings and fertilizers, agricultural supplies... to serve production. Up to now, the guava area gives 30 tons of fruit per year (harvested continuously for 9 months/year). With an average selling price of 12-15 thousand VND/kg, after deducting expenses, I earn about 250 million VND in profit”.
In addition to capital, farmer members are also supported with fertilizers, techniques for caring for crops and livestock, bringing high economic efficiency. In 2023 alone, nearly 21,000 farmer members in Dai Tu district were supported with agricultural materials and production techniques to develop their family economy. Also in the past year, in responding to the movement "Farmers compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably", the whole district had over 17,000 farmer members registered for good production and business at all levels; 12,000 households achieved good production and business households at all levels; over 28,000 member households producing and trading agricultural products and food registered to ensure food hygiene and safety, the Association newly established 7 professional associations, 8 agricultural cooperatives; coordinated with relevant agencies and units to establish 7 new cooperatives for agricultural production and processing.

To further increase income for members, Mr. Chu Hong Thai, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Dai Tu district, emphasized: "In the coming time, the Association will continue to coordinate with the Provincial Vocational Training and Farmers' Support Center, deploy support programs for members and farmers in the district; increase training courses, transfer science and technology in cultivation and livestock farming to help households improve productivity and quality of crops and livestock; continue to create conditions and support members to access preferential loans from local banks, create leverage for investment, expand production...".
Material life has been improved, helping farmer members have the opportunity to participate in activities and movements in the locality, especially the movement to build new rural areas. In 2023, 3,500 farmer members of Dai Tu district donated 160,440m2 of land and many working days, together with the locality to implement Resolution No. 07 of the District Party Committee Standing Committee on "Expanding 6-metre hamlet roads". Along with that, farmer members also actively preserve the bright - green - clean - beautiful rural environment; build cultural families, and new lifestyles in residential areas...
