At the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Ochi Mitsuo, Principal of Hiroshima University, gave an overview: As one of the first national universities in Japan, Hiroshima University is constantly creating achievements in training, scientific research and actively participating in the globalization process. Currently, Hiroshima University is training 1,750 international students from 85 countries, including 65 Vietnamese students. To date, there have been 343 Vietnamese alumni graduating here.

Hiroshima University has many strengths in teaching, scientific research and technology transfer, especially in 4 fields: Agriculture, semiconductors, carbon neutrality and smart cities, which the University plans to cooperate in Vietnam. In the coming time, Hiroshima University hopes to establish a satellite campus at the University of Agriculture and Forestry (Thai Nguyen University), expected to begin enrolling students for doctoral training in agronomy in October 2024; Next, we will expand training links and long-term cooperation with the University of Agriculture and Forestry and a number of member schools of Thai Nguyen University...
