Thai Nguyen's 2025 tourism stimulus program has officially launched with the active participation of the business community. |
Statistics from the Thai Nguyen Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism show a record number: nearly 1,030,000 visitors from April 11th to May 4th, 2025, with 235,000 visitors flocking in during the 5-day holiday from April 30th to May 1st, an increase of nearly 59% over the same period last year. Tourism revenue reached nearly 1,050 billion VND, demonstrating the results of the quiet and persistent innovation journey over many years.
Explaining the reason for tourism products associated with tea culture, historical relics, and community tourism being methodically invested, Mr. Nguyen Tung Lam, Head of the Tourism Management Department (Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism), shared: "We do not simply chase quantity. The top priority is to create memorable and sustainable experiences for visitors."
With the message "Experience the Tea Land rich in identity," the 2025 tourism season kicked off with a series of diverse activities: From hot air balloon performances, "city tours" exploring the city's rhythm of life, to community tours at Thai Hai stilt house village, Tan Cuong tourism village, and the "Steel Land Journey" at the 915th Company relic. A strategic breakthrough is the cooperation between the Thai Nguyen Tourism Association and travel agencies in Hanoi to operate the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen tourist train, creating a meaningful nostalgic journey. "The train journey is not merely a means of transportation but a journey back to memories." Mr. Do Trong Hiep, Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Tourism Association, emphasized - "Especially for Thai Nguyen people working in Hanoi, this is how we 'awaken' the love for the homeland and nurture domestic tourism through emotional connections."
