Thai Nguyen attracts UAV manufacturing project and low-altitude economy development

The Chairman of the People’s Committee of Thai Nguyen Province has recently signed Decision No. 1334/QD-UBND approving the proposal to attract investment in the construction of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturing plant and the development of the low-altitude economy.

Accordingly, the Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Department of Finance to take the lead, in coordination with relevant departments, agencies, and localities, to implement the proposal; develop an implementation plan; and periodically summarize and report results to the Provincial People’s Committee.

The goal for the second quarter of 2025 is to identify the UAV manufacturing supply chain in particular, and related sectors within the broader low-altitude economy. Additionally, a detailed implementation plan and investment promotion materials will be developed and issued to support this initiative.

The province is currently implementing various solutions to promote science and technology development, innovation, digital transformation, and the growth of the information technology industry, especially by accelerating the development of the Yen Binh Centralized IT Park Project.

The Yen Binh Centralized IT Park has already undergone a detailed zoning plan at a 1/2000 scale, covering an area of approximately 197.61 hectares. Necessary procedures are being finalized for submission to the Prime Minister for approval of its official establishment, while the province is in the process of selecting an investor. This zone offers favorable conditions for attracting investment projects in UAV manufacturing.
