With economic development, the people of Tan Do have the means to contribute to the construction of infrastructure projects. |
Coming to Tan Do hamlet now, we feel a sense of renewal. Along both sides of the concrete road leading into the hamlet, which has just been put into use, bright red Party flags and national flags flutter in the wind. In the center of the hamlet, the Nung Ethnic Traditional Village Preservation project stands out with its meticulously designed features. This project, implemented by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, was just handed over to the locality at the end of April this year.
Mr. Chu Van Huong, Head of Tan Do hamlet, excitedly said: "Thanks to the attention and support of all levels, sectors, and the unity and diligence of the people, the hamlet is increasingly thriving.”
To help the people here gradually rise up, all levels and sectors in Dong Hy district have implemented many solutions, such as: Organizing training courses and applying science and technology in agricultural production; implementing economic development models; promoting communication and encouraging people to proactively access new knowledge and actively shift crop and livestock varieties... Along with applying new production models, the people of Tan Do also actively switch to high-yielding crop varieties. For example, with tea, each year the hamlet replants and plants about 2 hectares, mainly hybrid tea varieties. Currently, the entire hamlet has about 30 hectares of tea, 90% of which is hybrid tea. Thanks to the active application of science and technology in production, the lives of the people in Tan Do hamlet are increasingly improving. On average, each year, the hamlet reduces 2-3 poor households, and currently, there are only 2 poor households left. With economic development, the people of Tan Do have the means to contribute to the construction of infrastructure projects. In 2024 alone, 27 households in Tan Do hamlet donated over 3,000m2 of land for transportation routes. Up to now, the main hamlet roads have been widened and concreted.

Not only focusing on economic development, the people of Tan Do also pay attention to preserving their cultural identity in many ways, such as: Effectively maintaining the sli and luong singing club; actively participating in activities to preserve and promote traditional cultural values organized by the locality; preserving traditional stilt houses and festivals...
