Meeting to celebrate the 39th anniversary of Song Cong City

On the afternoon of June 28, Song Cong City organized a meeting to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the city's foundation (July 1, 1985 - July 1, 2024).

39 years ago, Song Cong Town was established under Decision No. 113/QD-HDBT dated April 11, 1985, of the Council of Ministers (now the Government) based on Mo Che town, Cai Dan, Tan Quang and Ba Xuyen communes. After 4 times of adjusting administrative boundaries, Song Cong City currently has 7 wards and 3 communes with a total natural area of 97.35 km2 and a population of over 100,000 people.

Meeting to celebrate the 39th anniversary of Song Cong City

In 2010, Song Cong town was recognized by the Ministry of Construction as a class 3 urban area; In 2015, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued a resolution to upgrade Song Cong town to become a city; In 2024, it was recognized by the Prime Minister as a class II urban area under Thai Nguyen province.

Promoting the tradition, the Party Committee, the government and the people Song Cong City continue to unite and strive to effectively implement the Resolution of the 9th Song Cong City Party Congress; and continue to do well in attracting investment, administrative reform, digital transformation, and budget collection...

On the afternoon of June 24 in Hanoi, the Central OCOP Product Evaluation and Rating Council officially evaluated and recognized two Thai Nguyen products as meeting the national 5-star OCOP standard: shiitake mushrooms produced by Phu Gia Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (Dai Tu District), and "Huong Que" premium tea buds from Phu Luong Agricultural Products Cooperative.
