Mr. Chu Hong Thai, Chairman of the Farmers’ Association, informed: "Following closely to the directives, resolutions and programs and socio-economic development goals of the district, every year, the farmers’ association at all levels launches farmer movement emulates good production and business, unites to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably. This is the central movement in the activities of associations at all levels from district to grassroots. In particular, we focus on propagating and mobilizing members to change crop and livestock structures, apply science and technology to production, improve product productivity and quality. At the same time, supporting members in implementing new agricultural development models; create conditions for members to participate in poverty reduction projects and socio-economic development programs. Thanks to that, at the establishments, the spirit of labor and production competition took place vibrantly and achieved many results."

In the period 2018-2023, the District Farmers’ Association has deployed to association establishments to build models of branches and professional associations according to Project 24 of the Central Standing Committee of the Association. To date, all levels of associations have coordinated and mobilized to build 7 professional branches and 23 professional associations, 23 models of cooperative groups, 6 cooperatives, mainly in tea production, processing and consumption; growing fruit trees; raising honey bee... Along with the entrusted capital of the Central and Provincial Farmers Support Fund, up to this point, the District Farmers Support Fund has supported nearly 1.1 billion VND of capital for farmers. The District Farmers’ Council is organizing the implementation of 12 loan projects from the Farmer Support Fund at all levels for 390 farmer member households to borrow capital with a total amount of nearly 5.6 billion VND. To use the loan effectively and for the right purpose, the District Farmers’ Association also coordinates with branches and units to organize training and improve professional qualifications for association officials; Training on technology transfer and production experience for members.

From 2018 up to now, the Association has coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the District Agricultural Service Center to organize over 2,900 scientific and technical training classes for nearly 178,000 members; Organizing seminars for more than 39,000 members; Organize for members to visit and learn from good production and business models inside and outside the province... Up to now, many models and projects have promoted effectiveness, households use loan capital for the right purpose. Mr. Nguyen Van Nga's family, Dong Nghe hamlet, Cat Ne commune, is an example. Once in difficult circumstances, Mr. Nga's family's income mainly depended on a few acres of rice and tea. Although he has raised cows since 2013, due to lack of capital, his barn only maintains 1-2 cows. Until 2020, when he was loaned 50 million VND by the District People's Support Fund, he decided to multiply.

Mr. Nga said: "Up to now, my family has 8 breeding cows and 3 calves, at peak time, the total herd was up to 16 cows. In addition to raising breeding cows, I also raise ducks, chickens, and pigs..."

Implementing the movement of farmers emulating good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably, every year, Dai Tu district has 72% of registered households striving to achieve this title.
